Kate is a fully qualified horticulturist and garden consultant with over 25 years of extensive practical and theoretical plant knowledge. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture and holds the RHS Level 3 qualification. Kate has worked as Head Gardener at Charterhouse School and as a horticulturalist at the Therapy Garden, gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of garden settings.

Kate is regularly invited to deliver horticultural talks and workshops at RHS Shows and other industry events. Her deep understanding of plant care, sustainable gardening, and peat-free composts allows her to offer informed, practical, and effective planting solutions for private clients.

Alongside her consultancy work, Kate is a recognised garden media specialist. She hosts The Underground Podcast (the official podcast for GLEE), creates content for Evergreen Garden Care, and has worked on major platforms including BBC One’s Garden Rescue, ITV’s Love Your Garden, and BBC Gardeners’ World.

Kate is also a regular garden writer, contributing to Love the Garden, Ideal Home, The Express Online, and What to Grow magazine.
