Kate Turner - Gardener Guru

Kate has been gardening for over 25 years and is a trained horticulturalist. She has a wealth of experience working behind the scenes on many of your favourite gardening programmes, including BBC ‘Gardener’s World’, Alan Titchmarsh’s ‘Love Your Garden’ and was instrumental in setting up the firstt 2 series of ‘Garden Rescue’ with Charlie Dimmock.

Before TV gardening beckoned, Kate was Head Gardener at the prestigious Charterhouse School.

She then set up and ran Flourish, a community teaching garden for 10 years running workshops and sessions on all aspects of horticulture including an Army Wives Gardening Group with whom she created a small, silver-gilt medal winning garden at the Hampton Court Flower Festival.

For 3 years, Kate was the Garden Guru for Miracle-Gro where she advised on all things horticultural. She was often seen on their social media channels giving top tips and advice.

She also consulted with the product development teams, helped to educate garden centre staff and has written many articles on plant care for websites, magazines and newspapers.

She has worked on a mix of events for Miracle-Gro, including 5 star award-winning stands at both Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court Flower Festival.

Kate is now based in South Devon and works as a freelance gardening consultant where she uses her extensive practical experience and knowledge to help you get the best out of your garden.
